• I couldn't agree more with this article. I have NEVER sat a stud player. The only time I look at matchups would be with a 3rd WR, a FLEX position, or a Defense. There's a point where you can get too fancy and outthink yourself.
• I LOVE the Clinton Portis call. I had Portis and Barber last year as my #1 and #2 backs and was dominating the league until they both got hurt. Portis can easily return top 10 value this year. Hasselbeck is also a great pick for a backup QB if you get one of the studs in the early rounds. I just wouldn't want him if I drafted a Warner, Palmer, or Schaub.
• It's a 14 team league, that's why I'm thinking that way, but you make good points. I'd pretty much have to draft RB's the next 3 or 4 rounds if I did that and that may be risky.
• I've got my first draft tomorrow night. If I end up with a pick towards the end of the first round I plan on taking a WR with my first 2 picks. If I can get 2 of the top 4 and wind up with Derrick Ward and Kevin Smith types as my top 2 RB's I'll be happy.
